Private chats

Start one

• Click a name in the member list, or
• type /query nickname, or
• type /msg nickname your message.

The conversation opens as its own entry in the room list.

Close one

Click the x next to it, or type /close while it is open.

Good to know

• A private message to you always counts as a highlight. See Highlights and Status.
• If the person is offline, leave a memo instead.
• Services also talk to you in private. When you send NickServ a command, the reply appears in the Status entry.
