Highlights and Status
The two special entries in the room list.
Operators only. This section is for IRC operators.
Highlights
The Highlights entry collects everything that mentioned your nickname or was sent to you privately, from every room, in one place. It is the quickest way to catch up after you were away. Open it by clicking it in the room list.
A red icon beside a room means a mention is waiting there. Opening the room clears it.
Status
Status is the network's own channel to you. You see:
- replies from services such as NickServ and ChanServ,
- notices from the server,
- the result of commands that are not tied to a room, such as
/whoisor/list.
If a command seems to do nothing, look in Status.
Tip. On a phone, tapping Highlights or Status does not open the keyboard. Tap the message box when you want to type.
