Web Chat troubleshooting
Common problems and what to do.
Operators only. This section is for IRC operators.
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| "Back in a moment" page | The chat is restarting. Wait a minute and reload. |
| Cannot get into a room | See the table in Join a room. |
| A command seems to do nothing | Look in Status. Services answer there. |
| My nickname is already in use | Pick another, or if it is yours, log in with its password. See Identify and protect. |
| I was disconnected | Reload the page. The Web Chat reconnects to your rooms. |
| My message did not appear | The room may be moderated, you may be banned, or the language filter may have blocked it. |
| A room name is refused | See Room names. |
| Too many rooms | You can have 10 open at once. Leave one. |
