Rooms and tabs
Keep several rooms open, move between them and leave them.
The Web Chat keeps up to 10 rooms open at the same time. The room list on the left has one entry for each.
The icon next to each room
| Icon colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Grey | Nothing new. |
| Green | New messages you have not read. |
| Red | Someone mentioned your nickname. |
The name also turns bold while there is something unread. There are no counters.
Switching
Click a room in the list. On a phone, open the room list with the button at the top and tap a room.
Leaving a room
Use the small x next to its name, or type /part. You leave and the entry closes. If it was your last room, the tab stays and shows "You left #room" with a Rejoin button, so you can see you left. A second click on the x takes you to Status.
Rooms you were in
Come back to the same address later and the Web Chat reconnects you. It remembers your rooms in your browser for a short while.
Limits
If you try to join more than ten rooms, leave one first. A room name can be up to 59 characters.
