Share the URL
Send people straight into your room with one link.
Every room has a permanent web address:
https://www.conferencerooms.org/chat/roomname/
Replace roomname with the room name without the #. It works for any room, whether or not it exists yet.
Where to use it
- Paste it into an email, a message or a post. Anyone who opens it lands in your room, asked only for a nickname.
- Put it on a website as a link or button.
- Write it in your room topic so visitors can pass it on.
What people see when you share it
Chat programs and social sites show a preview card. For every room the card carries the ConferenceRooms.org name, the title "ConferenceRooms.org - Chatter that belongs to your team", the line "Join the room #roomname" and the logo. The room is not listed by search engines.
Copy it from the Web Chat
Open the room, use the share or copy button for the address, or on a phone press and hold the address.
Private rooms
The address of a private or secret room still works for people who know it. Share it only with the people you want.
Next: Register a room.
